Our position is that we want to limit our impact on the environment

While we do look forward to the reduction and, ideally, the elimination of petroleum based products, the reality is we’re not quite there yet. However, the outlook is promising as growing concerns about the environment and global warming move consumers to make eco-conscious and sustainable choices.

We believe the technology will improve in several key areas: creating circular and sustainable alternatives, developing more sustainable fabric materials, research and development of closed-loop fabric recycling, the manufacturing of recyclable plastics and the recycling of plastics, innovation to eliminate microplastic and microfiber pollution.

These Solutions also have to provide the desired outcomes in a cost efficient way so that end user pricing falls within an acceptable range.

Lastly, while there have been some initiatives made, we believe global government legislations will play a further role by implementing changes to current manufacturing processes.

Our position is that we want to limit our impact on the environment:

• Our company does not promote single-use products to consumers and our products are well made using premium quality materials
• Our Puff Pods contain less than 25% synthetic fiber and we also carry one that is made from 100% Hemp fiber
• Our line of Emperessa Skin Care products are contained in recyclable glass bottles
• Our cosmeceuticals are contained in recyclable Glass bottles
• Our Mermaid Sponge is considered Eco- Friendly as the item is of a durable, reusable, single fiber fabric (not mixed or blended fibers). The product is 100% Nylon fabric, making it easier when Nylon depolymerization techniques and Recycling become widespread
• Our soaps are hand made with natural ingredients
• We’ve committed to sourcing product packaging that is either Plastic-free and sustainable, recyclable or compostable
• Our Mailers are either 100% recycled paper, or Recyclable or Biodegradable plastic
• We ship throughout Canada using Canada Post’s Carbon Neutral Shipping option

Our company has made conscious choices and will continue to do our part over time.

Of course, we would love a world where nothing was made from petrochemicals. Is it possible? I’m not sure, however, what I can say is that, as technology evolves, so will we.
